Alexander Gill
CEO and Managing Partner
Alex Gill is the co-founder and CEO of Waterman Residential, a real estate investment firm headquartered in Miami. As CEO, he develops and executes the company’s long-term objectives, growth strategies, and initiatives while managing day-to-day operations. Alongside his leadership role, Alex oversees acquisitions and developments and implements investment strategies.
Over his impressive 20-year career, Alex has been instrumental in acquiring and developing 4,947 multifamily units with a total capitalization of $1.55 billion across 18 deals. As Managing Director of Acquisitions for Mill Creek Residential Trust, he played a pivotal role in launching their investment management business in the Western United States. The investment group successfully acquired 2,181 apartment homes through seven transactions, achieving a remarkable 1.9x equity multiple and a 19% IRR. Additionally, Alex brings extensive ground-up development expertise from his leadership roles at TCR, Holland Partner Group, Intracorp, and Related Group.


Carter Gill
Co-Founder and Partner
Carter is the co-founder and partner of Waterman Residential, which he joined at its inception in 2021. As a key member of the leadership team, he specializes in sourcing both on-market and off-market multifamily deals, conducting comprehensive market and financial analyses, and spearheading capital markets activities. He oversees all facets of due diligence from initiation to closing, as well as asset and construction management during property renovations.
Drawing from his strong sales background, Carter excels in building robust relationships and executing complex transactions. During the refinance boom, he joined LoanDepot as a loan officer, where he leveraged his sales and leadership skills to quickly become a top producer. He later transitioned to commercial loan brokering at First Pacific Financial, facilitating over 90 multifamily loan closings with a total value exceeding $200 million.
